Family Nurse Practitioner, Certified
An Arizona native, I grew up watching my mom help patients, neighbors and the community. I understood at an early age that we are our brother’s keeper. I have answered that calling. I have been a Registered Nurse for well over a decade with experience in inpatient care, E.R., hospice and case management. Realizing I could do more, I earned my Advanced Practice Nursing degree from the University of Phoenix in 2014, and currently practices as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. I believe that no amount of training will prepare me to learn more about my patients than listening to them. Working together, we can create a treatment that will benefit each individual patient. I am married with two children and a boxer who thinks he is the third child. While I grew up in the desert, my favorite place to be is on a sandy beach with cool water and steel drum
Dr. DeLana Gardner
Dr. DeLana Gardner was born and raised in a small town in Pennsylvania with one older sibling. Educated in Seventh-Day-Adventist Schools, and always having a heart for servitude, it was only natural to pursue a career that promotes serving the public.
Understanding the concept of climbing the health care ladder she started as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the early 90s and later went on to obtain a Practical Nursing License in 1998 while working toward becoming a Registered Nurse. She graduated from Delaware County Community College with an Associate Degree in the Science of Nursing in 2001. She worked in various Critical Care areas including medial surgical, cardiology and emergency nursing before relocating to Arizona.
After relocating, and gaining experience as a Labor and Delivery Nurse she co-developed, marketed and taught a program for teenagers. She was involved with First Things First, through Arizona’s Children’s Association, teaching Infant Brain Development classes to educators and the general public.
In 2010 She pursued a graduate degree from Frontier Nursing University in Kentucky, and obtained a Master’s degree in the study of the Science of Nursing, with specific emphasis and a certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2013. In 2016 she completed her Doctorates Degree with Frontier Nursing University and is now course faculty for the university. She has solid experience in caring for patients across all facets of life from the pediatric to the geriatric population. She also cares for patients in their home by making house calls and providing end of life care. Dr. Gardner recently opened her first primary care medical office in which she promotes holistic care to include well visits, disease management, healthy weight loss solutions, pain management, addiction medicine and much more.
